Noorae, meaning radiant light, is a rare and luminous name born from Noor (light) and Rae (ray). A name that shines with meaning, elegance, and warmth.
The Founder
I’m Frédérique, founder of Noorae®. Born and raised in the Netherlands with Surinamese roots, I grew up in a culture where caring for hair and skin was more than routine, it was tradition, pride, and connection. From an early age, I learned how important it is to protect natural textures, to treat beauty as part of wellbeing, and to choose materials that truly care for the body.
Beyond the fabric
Noorae® was created from a simple desire: silk in its truest form. Not the blends or imitations so often disguised as silk, but fabric that remains authentic. More than that, I longed for a brand that speaks to all women, not only through its products, but through intention and inclusivity. A fabric chosen not for trend, but for its timeless ability to nurture and refine.
